14th Doolikel Human School 

The 14th Doolikel Human School was built with the support of Dowonsa Temple (Mano, Chief Monk of Dowonsa Temple, Pusan). The official name of the school is Shree Ajad Secondary School in Dhulikhel region near to Kathmandu. 17 out of 26 classrooms were in desperate conditions due to the major earthquake in April 2015 in Nepal. So, students really needed a new building. The groundbreaking ceremony was held on March 29, 2017 and it was completed on December 9, 2018.

In December 9, Um Hong Gil Human Foundation (Chairman of the Board of Directors Mr. LEE Jae Hoo, Executive Director Mr. UM Hong Gil) held the dedication ceremony of the 14th Doolikel Human School (The 15th completed Human School) in Kavre, Nepal, 40km southeast far away from Kathmandu. 400 people attended this ceremony including 40 Um Hong Gil Human Foundation Korean staff members and Rotary Districts 3600 volunteers. Also Nepalese government officials, teachers, students, and residents attended.

The Doolikel Human School is a public school established in 1951, which name is Shree Ajad Secondary school with about 800 students including kindergarten to high school students. Nonetheless, students were studying in a old and cramped classrooms and 17 out of 26 classrooms were in a desperate condition due to the major earthquake in 2015 in Nepal.

Chief Monk Mano of Dowonsa Temple in Pusan, Korea donated the full fund for the construction of the Human School, and the groundbreaking ceremony was held on March 29, 2017. The newly-built school consisting of classrooms, library, toilets was safely constructed.

In this dedication ceremony, 40 South Korean volunteers got a fervent response from the students and residents through the programs on the medical service and volunteering activities. Millet, an outdoor company in Korea, donated students bags, and Rotary Club-3600 District in Korea sponsored a computer lab and the equipment. Also, they delivered gifts and school supplies to students.

 In dedication ceremony, Executive Director of UHGHF Capt. UM Hong Gil delivered his speech by saying “I want to give the joy of learning and the hope of life to students through Human Schools in Nepal, Nepal is my second hometown”. I will continue to give support to students in order to develop their dreams in a newly-built classrooms”.

Since the establishment of the foundation in May, 2008, Um Hong Gil Human Foundation(UHGHF) completed 15 Human Schools in Nepal. UHGHF aims for establishing 16 Human School.
